Lifeguard Norman Inferrera died tragically in a boat-accident at a young age of 16!

Norman V. Inferrera III has been identified as the lifeguard who died at the age of 16 in a tragic boat accident on his job.
He died after the boat capsized at Reading Avenue Beach last week as per the city officials. After the tragic incident, the Cape May Beach Patrol for whom Norman worked renamed the beach in his honor.
His aunty Kathleen Inferrera Price has started a GoFundMe page for him. The page was set up to assist his family with the medical bills after he was involved in the accident and wrote,
“The family is deeply moved and became very emotional upon the news. The CMBP also made us aware that 100% of the medical bills will be covered through the city insurance.”
The funds that will remain will be used to establish a scholarship in his memory. Likewise, the scholarship is going to be issued on an annual basis to the Cape May Beach Patrol as well as Phoenixville Area High School in Pennsylvania where he was studying. Aunty Price wrote,
“Champ would be so glad to know that he will be helping future college-bound students achieve their dreams and goals! I can clearly see his smile now.”

More on the death of Norman Inferrera
He was conducting a routine lifeguard patrol to prevent swimmers from getting caught in the rough surf when his boat capsized. After that, he hit his head on the boat and was knocked unconscious. Likewise, Norman had suffered many other injuries from the accident.
Kathleen revealed,
“He had to be resuscitated twice and airlifted to Cooper trauma unit. His brain has suffered extensive and permanent damage. In addition, he suffered severe damage to one lung, damage to his liver, two broken collarbones, broken ribs and a very serious eye injury.”
He was rushed to the hospital immediately but on the next day he had no brain function and he was announced dead the same evening. He has been working as a lifeguard for a year and he has rescued multiple people. Inferrera was loved by all and is said to be a hard-working, bright, and lovable lifeguard who kept Hughes Beach safe.
