Allyson Brooke Hernandez known by her stage name Ally Brooke was the oldest girl in the music group “Fifth Harmony” (Girl group). Ally was born on July 7, 1993, which makes her 25 years old at present.
Ally’s dad believed she meant to sing
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Ally is a Mexican-American singer.
At the time of birth, she was a premature baby, born to parents Patricia Ann (mother) and Jerry Mesquite Hernandez (father). Talking about her siblings, she has a younger brother whose name is Brandon.
Being a premature baby, she entered this world screaming, which was unusual for premature. Therefore, since that moment Ally’s father believed her life meant to sing.
Ally’s education background
Born in Texas, she is of Mexican descent. Therefore, from a young age, she began learning music. This proves her interest in singing began at a very early age.
Talking about her educational background, Ally attended a local high school.
In San Antonio, Texas, she attended Cornerstone Christian Elementary School. Furthermore, through home-schooling, she completed her high school education.
Further details regarding her educational career are yet to be revealed. Ally shares that the biggest influence is Tejano music legend, Selena. Sharing about this matter, she says:
“she is my favorite artist of all time. I loved her so much. What I liked was her sweet spirit, cheerful personality.”
The X Factor
Ally went for the audition of The X Factor in Austin, Texas which is not that far from her hometown. With the song called “On My Knees” by Jaci Velasquez (Contemporary Christian and Latin pop singer), she made it through the audition of The X Factor.
She kept on singing, despite the music stopping. Her voice impressed all four judges and was able to receive four yeses from the judges.
On her first boot camp, she sang “Somebody That I Used To Know”. Moving on to her second Bootcamp, she sang “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” which was against Julia Bullock (American soprano).
Unfortunately, she got eliminated during the boot camp round.
The journey with Fifth Harmony
Later, she with four other girls was placed together i.e. with Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane, Normani Kordei, and Camila Cabello. Later, This group of five girls became Fifth Harmony.
They made it through the live shows. Furthermore, this group made it through the finale and they were able to achieve third place. During week 4 on the show, Ally lost her grandfather.
At that time, this girl group sang “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson which was dedicated in memory of her grandfather.
After X-Factor, Fifth Harmony came up with many amazing songs.
Their songs like “Worth It” and “Work from Home” were not only big hits, but they also won many nominations and awards. On March 19, 2018, to pursue solo careers, the group declared their decision to take an indefinite break.
Solo career
After Fifth Harmony, Ally is now coming up with her new Latin-pop bop called “Vámonos”. She debuted it live on Sept. 2 at Fusion Festival in Liverpool, the U.K. Sharing about her solo career, Ally posted a short video from the fest and wrote,

Ally’s personal life
Currently, Ally is living and enjoying her single life. However, talking about her past relationship affairs, she was in a relationship with Drew Chadwick (American rapper) back in 2012. For only a couple of months, they were together.
Moving on, in 2013 she also dated Troy Ogletree for two years i.e. up to 2015. Ally was also found to be with Will Bracey back in 2015 after breaking up with Troy Ogletree. Furthermore, there is no news about their break up or they are continuing the relationship.
