Olivia Wilde clarifies rumors of Harry Styles spitting on Chris Pine
Olivia Wilde is tired of hearing rumors of her boyfriend Harry Styles spitting on Chris Pine at the Venice Film Festival.
The film director sat down for a chat on the new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. There she confirmed that her boyfriend did not spit on his Don’t Worry Darling co-star Pine.
Wilde said:
”He did not. I think it’s a perfect example of people who look for drama anywhere they can. Harry did not spit on Chris, in fact. He really didn’t!”
A video went viral on the internet earlier this month which many speculated shows the former One Direction member spitting on Pine,42.
In the short clip, the Watermelon Sugar singer goes to take a seat next to Pine, who is sitting next to Wilde. Right after that, the singer bents down to take a seat, and many claim that it was then he spits on Pine.
Being the gentleman that he always is, Pine does not react aggressively and freezes in place and lets out a sly smile.

Chris and Harry both denied the spit rumors
After many said they saw saliva leave Styles’ mouth, Pine’s reps jumped into action to shut down the rumors.
They said:
“This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation,”
They added:
“Just to be clear, Harry did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men, and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”
Even Harry did address the news in his style. The Grammy-winning singer had a concert in New York a few days after the incident where he said:
“This is our 10th show at Madison Square Garden. It is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be back here,”
“I just popped over to Venice to spit on Chris Pine, but fear not, we’re back!”
The spit rumors were not the only trouble the DWD cast has had to face this year.
Last month, Wilde got a lot of attention when she claimed she fired Shia LaBeouf from her movie. Shia clapped back at her saying that it was he who chose to walk away from the movie.
LaBeouf even released a clip that shows Wilde begging him not to leave the movie.
