Former Olympian swimmer Michael Klim has a luxurious Balinese life as a multi-million dollar business owner and a single dad!
Olympic swimmer Michael Klim is living an impressive life in Bali Indonesia. He has retired from swimming and is doing a successful skincare business.
He has split from his wife Lindy Rama-Ellis and has three children with her. He has even broken up with his last girlfriend and is enjoying his singlehood being a single dad.
Michael Klim and his relationship history
Polish-Australian swimmer Michael Klim met the model and Balinese Princess Lindy Rama-Ellis. She is the glamorous Princess and niece of a Balinese King.
The couple dated and later wed in April 2006. In 2008, the pair launched the skincare company Milk and Co which has now expanded into a multi-million dollar empire.
He also moved to Bali and had three children with Lindy. They are Stella, 13, Rocco, 10, and Frankie, 7. But their married life fell into turmoil and they separated in 2016.
He had a girlfriend named Desiree Deravi with whom also he split recently. He is happily co-parenting his three kids with Lindy.
Michael Klim -his career, business, and current activity
Michael was a competitive swimmer and earned many Olympic medals. But in June 2007, he announced his decision to retire from competitive swimming.
In 2011, he wanted a comeback but could not make a team. In 2008, he and his then-wife launched a skincare brand and named it Milk and Co.
Previously, he had spoken of some wrong decisions in the early part of their business. He had said:
“I made a lot of decisions based on my intuition and gut, and not really understanding the financials and the market,”
“‘Some of those decisions were costly.“
His skincare products are sold from major stores such as Coles and Chemist Warehouse. His company sponsored the 2020 World Series Swim in Coolangatta, of which he was the ambassador. He said:
“I can still do everything that’s required with the business from Bali.”
He goes to work only once a month. He admitted that his ex-wife quietly left the business three years back. He now does surfing and fitness programs. He does non-competitive swimming and advocates a healthy outdoor lifestyle.
Michael Klim and his fatherly duties
Michael, 42 is living an envious life in Bali for the last seven years and taking care of his three kids. He is on good terms with his ex-wife and they maintain a united front when it comes to parenting their kids.
He is an active father to his children who are with their mother for weeks alternately. His main focus is his kids about whom he said:
“I think we have realised the kids are the priority and all our decisions of late have been in the best interest of the kids.”
He added:
‘The kids get home from school at about 4.30pm and they’re either horse riding, swimming or surfing — I’m just like a normal parent in Australia where I’ve become a chauffer, but I do it on a scooter,’
He enjoys both his singlehood and fatherhood.
