The famous American actor of yesteryears, Parker Stevenson continues to work in the film industry despite being 71 years old now.

Parker Stevenson and his early life
Parker Stevenson was born in Philadelphia to Richard Stevenson Parker Sr., an investment advisor, and actress Sarah Meade.
He has an elder brother who relocated to New York and was against acting as a profession. But since Sarah used to take Parker Jr. for her filming sessions, he was chosen to act in a few TV commercials.
Parker Stevenson has a degree in architecture
Though Parker started acting early in his life, he did not want to pursue it as a career. Hence, he took a degree in architecture from Princeton University. He wanted to pursue it as a profession but life had something else in store for him.

Parker’s first commercial ad
When he was 14 and on summer school holidays, on his mother’s advice, Parker tried to get a break in the world of commercial advertising.
And towards the end of his holidays, he bagged his first commercial ad credit for the product Clearasil. He got a handsome sum of money for it.
Parker in The Hardy Boys
Parker was unsure of what to do after his graduation. He thought he should take up architecture as a career. But soon, he landed the role of Frank Hardy in the series of 1970s,
The Hardy Boys. And this changed his life. He shot to fame and new TV and film projects rolled in. He did not refuse and continued to act. Parker also played Craig Pomeroy in Baywatch in the 1990s.
Parker and his long acting career
Parker has managed to be in the acting field for so long. He likes the fact that acting gives him the opportunity to meet new and more people and explore the world. That curiosity and eagerness kept him going. And he he has been in the acting field for nearly 6 decades.

Parker enjoys photography but will never go for wedding photography. Once, he did click wedding photos for his neighbor. But he did not like the stress that came with it. He had to reload films again and again and there was that constant fear of batteries going less and dying out mid-way. Hence, he avoids wedding photography.

Parker’s humbleness
Parker is a down-to-earth person. He firmly believes that anyone in his place would have achieved what he did. He continues to be in touch with his co-worker, Shaun Cassidy. The two meet at least once a year.
Which is Parker’s favorite show?
Out of his different roles, Parker likes the one he played in the show Probe. It is his favorite. He did the role in 1988 for the ABC series. Parker gave an interview to Classic Film & TV Café in which he said that he could relate to the role. Unfortunately, the series did not fetch good ratings.
Parker and his married life
Parker was married to actress Kirstie Alley from 1983 to 1997. They had marital conflicts. They adopted two children; a son in 1992 and a daughter in 1995. He does not talk much about his relationship with his ex-wife. But probably, there was a lot of bitterness between the two.
Earlier, Parker had stated that he liked his singlehood and would never marry again. But on 29 September 2018, he wed chef Lisa Schoen. The wedding venue was Demetria Vineyards in Los Olivos, California.
