Paul Cattermole, who was a member of the pop group S Club 7, passed away! He took his last breath on Thursday, April 6, at his home in Dorset, England.
Cattermole was just 46. On Friday, April 7, his death was confirmed by his bandmates via the official S Club 7 social media account along with a black-and-white photo of him.
The statement reads,
“We are truly devasted by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”
The other members included Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Jo O’Meara, and Bradley Mclntosh.

The devastating news comes just two months after they announced in February that they would tour together again for their 25th anniversary this fall, including three already-sold-out appearances at London’s O2 Arena.
However, the cause of his death is under investigation.

Paul Cattermole, full name Paul Gerald Cattermole, was an English singer and actor. He was famous for being a member of the British pop group S Club 7.
He joined the group in the year 1999, along with original members Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley Mclntosh, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt, and Rachel Stevens. The band recorded a total of four studio albums and released eleven singles throughout their time.
They also had their TV series including Miami 7, L.A. 7, Hollywood 7, and Viva S Club, which own two BRIT Awards. In 2002, Paul left the group citing ‘creative differences’ and stayed out of the limelight for some time.
In 2014, Cattermole went bankrupt which he opened up in his February 2018 interview with Loose Women. He revealed in an interview that he was living off noodles and couldn’t afford a new shirt for his television appearance at the time.
He even flogged his BRIT Award on eBay after he faced heartbreaking money problems.
