What happened to Pete Davidson?
Pete Davidson is reportedly in rehab after suffering from borderline personality disorder and PTSD.
The Saturday Night Live alum is getting treatment in the same facility where his close pal John Mulaney sought help for alcohol and drug issues.
One friend said,
“Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening.”
The news of his admission comes just weeks after the head of animal charity PETA forced him to apologize for leaving a bad rant on the phone.
If that was not enough, he also got into trouble for reckless driving after smashing a car into a Beverly Hills home.
A source close to Page Six said at the time,
“Anyone who knows Pete knows that he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it.
“He has a lot of people in his corner who love him and support him, and are proud of him.”
The close friend said that the comedian is “taking a well-deserved break so he can focus on himself and learn to better deal with his PTSD issues.”
The 29-year-old actor was driving his Mercedes where his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders was in the passenger seat in March when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into a stranger’s house.
The house has now been demolished.
Sui has been standing by her boyfriend‘s side in every difficulty.
While many suspected the comedian was under the influence at the time of the crash, police sources told TMZ that no drugs or alcohol was involved.
It is not so sure how he control control but he reportedly hopped the curb and took out a fire hydrant before hitting the house.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
The publication reported that the charge of reckless driving can give the person up to 90 days in prison and a $1, 000 fine. One could also lose points on their driving license.

Davidson checked in rehab twice for drug use
Comic Mulaney said on his new Netflix special Baby J that Pete was one of the first people to call him into rehab.
He quipped,
“Some people suggested that he and I did drugs together because he has tattoos and I am plain,”
“We must be up to witchcraft!”
He claimed that he and Davidson never did drugs together.
This is not the first time the comedian is taking a break for the sake of his mental health.
Davidson was only 7 when he lost his firefighter father, Scott in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He also suffers from Crohn’s disease.
He struggled with drug use and went to rehab twice before.
Speaking of his diagnosis, Davidson once said in an interview,
“I got diagnosed with BPD a few years ago, and I was always just so confused all the time, and just thought something was wrong, and didn’t know how to deal with it.”
“Then, when somebody finally tells you, the weight of the world feels lifted off your shoulders. You feel so much better.”
