Phil Heath to be inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2024!
American bodybuilder, Phil Heath has added another feather in his cap. He is going to be inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame next year. Phil revealed this happy news on his Instagram recently.

Recently, Phil Heath shared some joyful news with his Instagram fans. He informed them that he will be soon inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame. The seven-time Mr. Olympia will join the ranks of Franco Columbu, Lee Haney, Ronnie Coleman, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jay Cutler. His vast contribution to the field of bodybuilding helped him achieve this new title.
Phil Heath is one of the best bodybuilders in the world. He had an excellent overall conditioning, freaky muscle fullness, and striations. His last competition was in 2020 at the Mr. Olympia show where he came third. Big Ramy had won the title that year.
On his social media post, Phil shared a video of his phone call from the organization. Phil said:
“Holy smokes,”
The senior Vice President of the organization founded in 2012 informed:
“You’ll be joining five other Mr. Olympia winners which include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbu, Lee Haney, Ronnie Coleman, and Jay Culter. You will be our sixth Mr. Olympia inducted,”
Phil replied:
“Outstanding man, wow, thank you so much,”
The organization person added:
“You will forever be enshrined at the University of Texas Art Center. On behalf of our international Hall of Fame and Doctor Goldman congratulations my friend.”
Phil and his love for his athletic career
Phil is extremely fond of his career. The 43-year old bodybuilder was born in Seattle, Washington, in 1979. At the Rainier Beach High School where he did his schooling, he was the team captain and also the shooting guard of his school’s basketball team. He achieved an athletic scholarship and joined the University of Denver. He was part of the college basketball team and graduated from the college with a major in business administration.
Phil started doing bodybuilding in 2002. And in 2005, he won his first title at the National Physique Committee USA championships. In 2013, he started professional bodybuilding. He has several wins to his credit. Though retired, he has expressed that he would like to do a comeback. He coaches people in bodybuilding and also serves as a commentator for the Mr. Olympia competitions.
Phil and his health
Phil’s comeback is uncertain. But despite that, he is trying to maintain his body, physique and health. In May 2023, Phil posted on his Instagram and shared with his fans that he has increased his training frequency. Moreover, he revealed that he is taking medications in order to have good health along with muscles. He wrote:
“Optimizing your health goes a long way. The goal is to leave life changing and lifelong lasting effects.”
Phil stressed that now he focuses on health and longevity. Talking about the medicines, he added:
“Even without me training seven days a week, I’ve been able to maintain good muscle mass and that’s because I’ve done things the right way throughout my career. But I’ve made sure I was able to apply the right type of medications for my goals and I am in the gym a little bit more now and I will be more in the upcoming weeks and my body feels really really fresh.”
And he continued:
“That’s what I always preached my entire career, you have to train smart, you have to train hard, you have to have fun, but you have to have the recovery, modalities, and the medications to help you stay at your peak performance,”
