5 Powerful Personality Men Who Were Accused Of Sexual Abuse And Harassment In Their Work Place

Some of the powerful men in the television industry were accused of sexual abuse. A few weeks ago there came the news about the sexual assault allegations against media mogul Harvey Weinstein.
The news took all over the media as many other powerful names came forward in the accusation of sexual abuse and harassment.

1. Harvey Weinstein
In early October Harvey Weinstein came into the highlight after New York Times published a story about his accusation of sexual harassment against the powerful movie producer.
Harvey is one of the powerful names in the entertainment industry, whose films have won several Academy Awards.
Many women came forward and sexually accused Harvey which also included the names of actresses like Ashley Judd and Mira Sorvino. The news also includes the eight settlement statements from Weinstein about the accusation throughout the years.
After the news came out, many other women also came forward and revealed that Weinstein raped them. Despite denying all the claims of non-consensual sex, he got fired from his own film company and his wife left him.
2. Kevin Spacey
Another name on the list is the American actor and producer Kevin Spacey. Actor Anthony Rapp accused him of making a sexual advance when the two were working together on Broadway in 1986. At that period, Rapp was just 14 while Spacey was 26.
Rapp claimed that Spacey approached him in a bedroom at a house party. Moreover, she also opened up that he “picked [him] up like a groom picks up the bride” and put him on the bed, falling on top of him.
After the accusation, Spacey came forward and clarified himself saying he could not remember whether the alleged encounter happened. Furthermore, he also apologized and also came out as gay in a tweeted statement.
3. Charlie Rose
Charlie Rose is a known face in the media as he is the longtime television host. Eight women accused Charlie of sexual harassment.
According to the reports, in his over 20 years in the television industry, he allegedly has made unwanted sexual advances toward women who worked at PBS’s Charlie Rose show.
Moreover, the women alleged that Rose used to make lewd phone calls, touched them, and walked around naked in front of them. Afterward, Rose issued an apology in which he acknowledges his “inappropriate behavior”. Despite the apology, he also questioned whether “all of these allegations are accurate.”
After the news came to the media, PBS and Bloomberg LP suspended distribution of him while CBS also suspended him from the channel.
4. Matt Lauer
Another name on the list is the American Television Journalist Matt Lauer. The host of The Today Show got fired from his show after the allegation of sexual misconduct. According to NBC News, he got fired after an internal review.
As per the reports, the investigation has been underway for weeks and maybe surface soon. Matt’s co-worker, Katie Couric said that she was clueless about “Today” show partner Matt Lauer’s rampant sexual misconduct.
5. Russell Simmons
The co-founder of Def Jam Recordings and other countries Russell Simmons also came to the list. Model Keri Claussen Khalighi and screenwriter Jenny Lumet accused him of sexual misconduct.
Moreover, Russell denied all the allegations while Keri talked about her sexual misconduct experience with Russell.
After Keri and Jenny, many other women also came forwards revealing their sexual encounters with Russell. He not only denied all the allegations against him but also started the #notme movement from his Instagram post.
