Prince of Greece, Nikolaos had divorced his wife nine months back. And he has moved on rather quickly. Nikolaos is in a new relationship and has already proposed to his girlfriend who said yes. Who is his fiancee?

Prince of Greece, Nikolaos is engaged

The Prince of Greece, Nikolaos, 55 has moved on after he split from his wife. Nikolaos has not only entered a new romantic relationship, but he has also proposed to his new girlfriend. And his new girlfriend accepted his marriage proposal.

This comes nine months after Nikolaos announced that he is divorcing his wife, Tatiana Blatnik, 44. Reports state that Prince Nikolaos plans to have a small and intimate wedding function on 7th February 2025. The attendees would be only family members and close friends of the two sides.

The family biographer, Andreas Megos, a family biographer stated:

“Prince Nikolaos and Mrs. Chrysi Vardinoyannis will be joined in holy matrimony in Athens. Specific details, including the wedding date, will be announced in due course.”

On 17th January 2025, Greek newspapers carried photos of the couple walking together in a public area. Nikolaos’ girlfriend was with him when he attended the two years memorial service of his father, the late King Constantine at Tatoi Royal Cemetery near Athens. The King had died on 10th January 2023 at his age of 82.

Who is Nikolaos’ girlfriend?

The girlfriend-turned-fiancee of Prince Nikolaos is Chrysí Vardinogianni. Her family is one of the affluent families of Greece. Chrysi’s father, Giorgos Vardinogianni, owns multiple ships.

Chrysí knows the royal family of Greece since many years. She had also attended the wedding ceremony of Nikolaos’ sister, Theodora. It was held in Athens in September 2024 at the same church where King Constantine had married his wife, Queen Anne-Marie in 1964. However, at this event, Chrysi and Nikolaos were not spotted together.

Chrysi’s first husband was Greek singer Nino, 43. They wed in 2012. The couple shares two children together: George Skeyos who was born in 2013 and Karen Agapi whom they welcomed in 2014. However, they separated in August 2017.

Later, she dated Greek actor and director Konstantinos Markoulakis, 54 from 2018 to December 2023.

Nikolaos’ past relationships

Once, Prince Nikolaos carried the tag of a Playboy Prince since he used to attend the lavish parties of people such as Elle Macpherson and Jemima Khan.

Nikolaos started dating Tatiana Ellinka Blatnik, 44 in the early 2000s. Tatiana worked as an event planner at the publicity department of the Belgian fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg.

The Greek King’s office in London announced on 28th December 2008 that Nikolaos and Tatiana are engaged.

Later, on 25th August 2010, the couple had a wedding at the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas situated on the island of Spetses, Greece.

The two had settled in Athens and Tatiana immersed herself in social work while Nikolaos pursued photography as a career.

The couple had no kids together. After 14 years of married life, they called it quits on 19th April 2024.

The two had last appeared together at the memorial service of late King Constantine in February 2024. This was at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Members of British and Greek royal families were present at this occasion. It included Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Princess Beatrice.
