Prince Harry says his marriage to Meghan Markle is as strong as ever
Prince Harry caught off speculation regarding his broken marriage with Meghan Markle since they attended events separately.
While attending the New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit Wednesday, Harry emphasized that the constant attention on his marriage is “definitely not a good thing.”
”Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times,” he said during the event: ”We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just, like, what?”
Although the “Spare” author is said to be accustomed to the media frenzy, he revealed that he feels “sorry” for online trolls who are now concerned with his marriage status to the “Suits” alum.
“It’s tough to stay on top of everything, which is why you sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls,” added Harry, who married Markle in 2018.
“Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel for them. Genuinely, I do.”
The father of two even apologized to Andrew Ross Sorkin, columnist of the NYT who was interviewing him, because he might also be drawn into this fuss right after their public discussion.
Harry said he is “sure” the talk “will be spun or twisted somehow against me, and maybe you yourself will get trolled relentlessly.”
“For that, I can only apologize, but you did invite me, so it’s not my fault,” Markle’s husband playfully said.

Why did fans speculate about Harry and Meghan’s divorce?
In other parts of the conversation, Harry stated that online rumors could be “dangerous” over time.
”I believe I have lived with experiences from childhood. There are stories about me that are not true. I have seen stories of family members, friends, strangers, all kinds of people,” Prince William’s younger brother said.
“And I think once you grow up in that environment, you do start to question the laws and validity of it, but also what everyone else is thinking about it, and how dangerous it can be over time.”
Harry also weighed in on the rampant rumors about his and Markle’s separate appearances at events the past few weeks.
Such as on November 14 when the Duchess of Sussex attended her friend Kadi Lee and Myka Harris’ high-end haircare line launch, but was dancing alone, without Harry.
Almost a week later, news broke that Prince Harry, who is a Global Ambassador for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, will host an event on December 10 without the presence of his wife Markle.
The “Deal or No Deal” alum showed up on her own on October 5 at Children’s Hospital LA Gala, donned in a red frock. Markle and Harry tied the knot in 2016. The couple together has two children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3.
