Eugenie and Jack’s short relationship timeline
Eugenie and Jack first met during a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland in 2010. The princess admitted that theirs was love at first sight. Jack agreed with her.
In January 2018, Jack popped the question while they were vacationing in Nicaragua. That very year in October, the duo married in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Their wedding came just months after Harry and Meghan married at the same venue.
800 guests attended the royal nuptials including the bride’s grandparents – Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
The royal kept the details of her wedding dress only revealing that it would be made by a British designer. The designers later turned out to be Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.
The royal told British Vogue,
“As soon as we announced the wedding, I knew the designer, and the look, straight away,”
“I never thought I’d be the one who knew exactly what I like, but I’ve been pretty on top of it.”
Eugenie said of their engagement,
“The lake was so beautiful. The light was just a special light I had never seen,”
“I actually said, ‘This is an incredible moment,’ and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we have been together seven years. I was over the moon.”
Eugenie’s second child will be the late monarch’s first great-grandchild born after her death in September last year. They will be 13th in line to the British throne.
