Princess Raiyah’s real name is Raiyah bint Al-Hussein. She made the happy and exciting announcement on her Twitter handle.

Raiyah tweeted:
“Thank you all for your kind messages on our wedding! While it was originally planned for April in Jordan, the pandemic derailed those plans and it was safer for my husband’s family to hold it in the UK. God willing we look forward to celebrating in Jordan once the situation allows,”

Details of the wedding of the Jordan Princess
The wedding function went well. The bride looked stunning in her white gown which had intricate beading work on it. There was also a lace design on it. The bridegroom looked dapper in his black-colored jacket, light blue vest, and pinstripe gray pants.
After the wedding ceremony, the couple and Raiyah’s mother, Queen Noor posed outdoors for some beautiful photos. They were surrounded by lush greenery which only added beauty to everything around.
Ned had proposed to Raiyah on 26 October 2019. At that time, the Royal Hashemite Court has congratulated the couple by means of an official statement.
Princess Raiyah is the youngest daughter of King Hussein of Jordan and Queen Noor. She was born in the USA. She attended Edinburgh University in Scotland and obtained a Master’s degree in Japanese studies.
Additionally, she also holds a master’s degree in Japanese literature from Columbia University in New York. Raiyah is now attached to UCLA and did her Ph.D. in pre-modern Japanese literature.
Royal weddings the coronavirus pandemic postponed
The wedding of Raiyah is the first royal wedding since the pandemic. There were other royal weddings worldwide that also face postponement due to the virus.
The wedding of Princess Beatrice, daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson was to take place on 29 May 2020.
But coronavirus poured cold water over her scheduled marriage to her fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. On the wedding day which would have been, Sarah made it a point to pen down a sweet note for Beatrice.
She wrote on her Instagram:
“Love you my darling Beatrice. You have given me more joy than I could ever wish for. I am so excited to celebrate yours and Edo’s love when we all are out of lockdown. The most important thing is health and love and today I send it to you and all the other people that were getting married during this time .. so proud of you all.”
Additionally, Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark also postponed her marriage to LA-based attorney Matthew Kumar for same reason.
