While talking to the magazine about her new movie, she told the outlet about pausing her career, saying,
“I guess I always had a sense that it would be OK; either it’s going to work out or it’s not,”
McAdams said that the time apart really made her feel empowered and,
“It helped me feel like I was taking back some control. And I think it sort of allowed me to come in from a different doorway.”
Rachel who starred in hit movies like Mean Girls, The Notebook, and Spotlight decided to take more than entire years off in the past.
The actress did not appear in any movie between 2006 and 2019. Moreover, Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret is the actress’ third film since 2020.
Talking about the break, she took in the 2000s, Rachel told the magazine,
“I felt guilty for not capitalizing on the opportunity that I was being given, because I knew I was in such a lucky spot,”
“But I also knew it wasn’t quite jiving with my personality and what I needed to stay sane.“
Somewhere in the candid interview, the actress also revealed that she was not sure that taking a break was a good decision at the time. She turned down movies like The Devil Wears Prada, Casino Royale, and Iron Man.
The mother of two recalled,
“There were definitely some anxious moments of wondering if I was just throwing it all away, and why was I doing that?”
“It’s taken years to understand what I intuitively was doing.”
Rachel’s haters called her out for her armpit hair
The interview also became a hot topic as McAdams posed with her armpit hair for the featured pictures.
She made a request to the outlet to let her images be as natural as possible.
McAdams said,
“With this shoot, I’m wearing latex underwear. But I’ve had two children. This is my body, and I think that’s so important to reflect back out to the world,”
“It’s OK to look your best and work at it and be healthy, but that’s different for everyone.”
Her armpit did cause a stir on the internet.
One user tweeted,
“Dear Lord…she has more pit hair than me. Not sure who exactly really wants pit hair. It’s kinda worthless,”
Another wrote,
“Am I seeing badly or does she have armpit hair?”
