Rapper Drake Loses Again! Lost $1.6 million Bet on Israel Adesanya Fight at UFC 281
- Canadian-American rapper Drake has a notorious curse when it comes to UFC Fight betting.
- This time the rapper lost $1.6million (£1.4m) as his bet Israel Adesanya lost Alex Pereira at UFC 281.
- Adesanya was knocked out with just three minutes remaining at UFC 281 fight in New York against old kickboxing rival Pereira.

Drake who was hoping to win a $2.3million payout after putting a huge seven-figure bet on his friend Adesanya, end up losing $1.6 million. His bet Adesanya was knocked out when he was urging to beat Alex Pereira.
The rapper lost his bet after Israel Adesanya lost his middleweight defending title which he was holding for the sixth time at UFC 281 in New York. After winning most of the fight, Adesanya was knocked out with just three minutes remaining which ultimately made him lose his title. He then revealed,
“He’s durable and he recovers well. Even in the fifth round, I knew he was going to come strong because he was down. Same thing as last time again. Kudos to him for investing in those calf kicks, because it cost me. It’s another great story for him, but it’s not over. This is still war.”

Into the long losing history of Rapper on betting on UFC fights
Drake has a long history of betting on UFC fights if the rapper fans have recalled it. His last loss is the above-mentioned $1.6 million.
Ahead of that Drake lost $430,000 loss after Kamaru Usman (knocked out by Leon Edwards) and Jose Aldo (beaten by Merab Dvalishvili) at UFC 278 in August 2021.
Drake had also lost $275,000 after Jorge Masvidal lost (beaten by Colby Covington) in a one-sided fight at UFC 272. He then also lost $400,000 after Gaethje was taped out by submission specialist Oliveira in the opening round.
He who was planning to recover his losses on betting had lost some more two months later. It was when Justin Gaethje lost to Charles Oliveira’s run as lightweight champion.
But that does not mean he did not win at all, His biggest win was from a betting game at UFC London in July 2021. He bagged a whopping £ 3 million when Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann both won at the English capital.
