Injury of the Ex-Crimewatch host Rav Wilding and suing the makers of Splash
In the present situation, the former soldier has one leg shorter than the other one. He gets pain in the leg whenever he walks or stands.
As we know he was once a soldier, and his leg was not the same as before. He came to the situation due to a major accident.
He had a major accident due to the snapping hamstring tendons. Rav injured his leg in 2013 during the training on ITV diving show Splash. After the incident, his one leg became shorter.
After the accident, he went through many roller coasters and saw his darkest days. Rav had to cancel his wedding to keep the money for his medical bills.
Not only that, he even sold his house as he had no income to pay the bills. When he got the injury back in 2013 during his training on Splash, Tom Daley (Olympic bronze medalist) was his mentor.
After the accident, Rav mentioned his darkest days saying:
“I used to get active jobs based on my fitness, but now I can’t do those things. The entire course of my career’s changed”
Moreover, he also claimed that he did not get the appropriate tuition before performing the somersault. During the move, Rav clasped his left leg in the hamstring tendons. However, after the medication, he was able to swim to the edge of the pool.
Later on, he was again admitted to the hospital for further surgery. As he had an unexpected accident in his life, he also could not complete the show. Moreover, Rav mentions that the accident ruined his life. He says:
“I heard a popping noise, followed by an intense wave of acute pain, agony really. When I had surgery, they had to cut the full length of my leg down to the knee to locate and reattach the tendon.”
Furthermore, he also explains that he is not fit and can not work or enjoy sports. He revealed his pain:
“I have been in a few things here and there, but the active physical work is no longer possible. I used to play rugby every week, go running, and, having been in the army and a police officer in the past, my fitness was pretty high.”

Rav Wilding’s career before the injury
Before the injury in 2013, Rav Wilding had an ongoing and successful career. He was a former soldier and also a Television Presenter. Rav joined the British Army at the age of 17. Then, he worked in the 5th airborne brigade in the specialist air defense unit “P-Troop”. But after his four years in the British Army, he injured his leg very seriously. So, he had to leave the Army.
Later on, he joined Harrods in Knightsbridge as part of the security team. After nine months on the security team, he wrote an application Metropolitan Police Service. Moreover, he got the opportunity to join the training classes. In 2000, he started the Service after his posting in Peckham in South London.
He involved himself in many high-profile cases during his service. Afterward, he joined the CID where he solved many cases of robbery, burglary, and major investigations. Alongside, he also took the cases of rape and sexual assault allegations.
Now, coming to his television career, he appeared on BBC One’s The One Show as a regular crime reporter on 21 April 2008. Moreover, he also co-hosted the show named Missing Live. He is mostly known for his show Crimewatch Road Show.
