Spanish football player, Alvaro Morata, 31 and his model wife of seven years, Alice Campello, 29 announced their divorce one week back. Now, Alice has revealed the reason for their separation.

Alice Campello reveals reason of her divorce from Alvaro Morata

Last week, model Alice Campello and Spanish football player, Alvaro Morata announced that they are separating. Just two weeks before that, Alice and Alvaro were on a holiday to the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Photos show them kissing each other.

Alice was also present at the finals of the Euro 2024 on 14 July when Alvaro and his team won the match. She was cheering her husband at that time. The couple has four children together. Their last child, Bella was born last year.

The couple issued separate statements about their divorce. It was a mutual decision. Alvaro said in his statement:

“After some time of reflection, Alice and I have made the decision to part ways.”
“A WONDERFUL and RESPECTFUL reciprocal relationship where we have loved and helped each other a lot.”

There was the instability due to the game and also other contributory factors that led their relationship to a breaking point. Alice had told Marca:

“We are two young people, we have both been immature when it comes to managing certain situations, there are many children, moments of instability of being from one country to the other.”
“My postpartum depressions have influenced and yours, too, which has not allowed us to manage certain situations between us.”

They continue to be friends even after the separation.

Was infidelity the reason for the divorce?

There were rumors that the couple divorced due to Alvaro’s infidelity. Some news outlets stated that Alvaro had sent some explicit photos to another woman. And that this prompted their divorce.

But Alice has denied the rumors. She defended her husband in a social media post that read:

“We love each other infinitely, love does not end from one day to the next, we respect each other a lot and nothing will change.”
“It is what we both needed now, however, I know that Álvaro would kill for me.”

Alice rubbished the rumors vehemently. Alvaro is now with Inter Milan after having played two seasons for Atletico Madrid. He was signing shirts for his fans of the Serie A side. But there was no wedding ring seen in his left hand.

Alice has also removed Alvaro’s surname from all her social media accounts.

The relationship of the couple

Italian fashion blogger Alice and Alvaro started dating. Later, on 17 June 2017, the two walked down the aisle together in Venice. Invitations were sent to four hundred friends, team mates, close relatives and family members. Cristiano Ronaldo also got an invitation but he could, unfortunately, not attend the wedding ceremony due to his other commitments. He was at the match for Confederations Cup with Portugal.

The couple wed at the famous Basilica del Redentore. Later, they enjoyed a boat ride along the water city’s canals.

The couple has three sons and one daughter. Alice delivered twin sons, Alessandro and Leonardo in 2018. They had another son, Edoardo in 2020 and a daughter, Bella in 2023.
