“My personal development is one… my task is to read a book a week, and also to read [another] book a month as part of my book club. I’m doing a huge amount of reading and studying just on my own.”
Emma continued that the other thing she wants to up is her contribution towards gender equality. It is her wish to see it in reality in the world.
Emma Watson’s education
The 34-year-old actress is highly educated. If we start from her school days, she and her brother used to stay with their mother in Oxfordshire after the latter divorced their father. Both of Emma’s parents were professional lawyers.
First, Emma was at Dragon School until 2003. Later, she joined Headington School in Oxford. It was her ambition to be an actress when she grows up. Therefore, while taking part in school plays, she also studied acting, singing and dancing at the Oxford branch of the reputed part-time school, Stagecoach Theatre Arts.
Subsequently, in June 2006, she gave exams of GCSE in 10 subjects. Emma got 8 A+ and 2 A grades. Further, in May 2007, she gave her AS levels exams in English, Art, History of Art, and Geography. And later, she pursued studies at A levels in all except in History of Art. She achieved A grade in all three subjects.

Emma Watson’s role as a feminist
Emma is an open feminist but she has clarified that for her feminism is not about men hating. But she aims to see gender equality in the true sense of the word in the world. She has released her feminist book group, Our Shared Self.
Emma was also the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador for many years and has given lectures on women and gender equality in many regions of the world. She also had commenced the HeForShe initiative at the UN. She is passionate about her work and hopes for a real change. Emma states:
“What is liberating and empowering me through being involved in feminism is that… so much of the self-critiquing is gone,”
“It is time that we all perceive gender on a spectrum not as two opposing sets of ideals. […] I want men to take up this mantle. So their daughters, sisters and mothers can be free from prejudice but also so that their sons have permission to be vulnerable and human too […] and in doing so be a more true and complete version of themselves.”
