“We always passed each other at events, we did a TV show together, first of all I met him in La Manga in the early 2000s and then we did dance for Comic Relief together in 2013 and then met on Dancing On Ice. It’s been great.”

On the other hand, the welterweight boxer shared that he found love with Claire unexpectedly while participating in last year’s Dancing On Ice. He said,

“I didn’t go on Dancing On Ice to find romance, I just went in hoping I wouldn’t break my f***ing neck. I’ve known Claire for a while. I’ve met her at a few functions and at different events over the tears. Every time we’ve spoken we have hit it off and got on with each other.”

He continued,

“We ended up both training in Altrincham, Claire’s on Coronation Street and she’s from Liverpool so we used to train at the same time. We got on straight away while we were training for the ice skating. And then when we travelled down to London where she show actually took place we got in even better.”
