Roberto Aguayo was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by Kansas City Chiefs. Immediately after the selection, Kansas City Chiefs traded him to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He was the first kicker selected in the second round. On June 7, 2016, Aguayo signed his rookie contract with Buccaneers. Since then, he plays for the Buccaneers. His salary has not been revealed yet to the media. As of 2023, he has an estimated net worth of $1.5 million.
