On 16 July 2019, Sarah let her Instagram followers know that she is engaged to The Bachelorette star Wells Adams. She shared several lovely pictures of the romantic proposal. She wrote:
“That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff,”

Wells is a bartender. He had contested on The Bachelorette and also Bachelor in Paradise shows. The couple is in a relationship since October 2017. Though Wells was trying to get the attention of JoJo Fletcher on the show The Bachelorette in 2016, Sarah was very vocal about her love for Wells.
In September 2018, Wells had hinted at a likely proposal. He was speaking to US Weekly about his wedding to Sarah. He had joked about his family calling them half-crazy. Wells had said:
“My family would be involved and they would ruin the entire experience because they’re crazy,”
He did not want the marriage ceremony to be on TV. He had discussed further:
“They would have too much fun at the wedding and that would be a whole other story. Chris Harrison would kick my brother out of a part and be like, ‘You’re too drunk, you need to leave.’
“Maybe [Chris would officiate]. He’s good at it. I think Chris just lives with camera crews following him around. I don’t think I would want that.”

Sarah has endometriosis and gout and had some suicidal thoughts in the past. But she is happy with Wells. She calls him ‘The One’. She is all praise for him and slammed back trolls who commented that she will be buying her engagement ring when Wells proposes.
