The beloved wife of late British journalist Bill Turnbull, Sarah McCombie is heartbroken after the death of her husband of 34 years.
Who is Sarah McCombie?
Sarah McCombie was a former newsroom editor for British Forces Broadcasting. The widow of BBC presenter Bill Turnbull married her late spouse in March 1988 in the London Borough of Hackney.
Though the Strictly curse did not separate her marriage after Turnbull featured in season 3 of Strictly Come Dancing, death set them apart. The pair who blossomed in romance while living together in Buckinghamshire are parted after the demise of Turnbull at age 66.
They had three children together, sons, Henry Turnbull, born in 1988, and Will Turnbull, born in October 1980. They also had a daughter, Flora Turnbull, born in August 1991.

Last Tribute to Bill Turnbull on his Demise at age 66
BBC Broadcaster Bill Turnbull who hosted BBC Breakfast for 15 years, in both London and later Salford passed away at 66. His death came after his prostate and bone cancer was malignant and incurable.
He had also prepared for his deathbed and funeral and lived his life to the fullest.
The family of the Think Tank game show presenter is saddened at the demise of their beloved. In this difficult time, they penned a tribute to their late family member saying,
“Bill will be remembered by many as a remarkable broadcaster who brought warmth and humour into people’s homes”.

Death of Bill Turnbull! Prostate and Bone Cancer took his life
BBC host Bill Turnbull is no more with us but his glory remains untouched. He passed away years after he was diagnosed with incurable prostate and bone cancer in 2017. Turnbull took his last breath on August 31, 2022.
In his nearly 4 decades of journalism career, he has contributed widely to radio stations Classic FM and BBC. Heard him regularly for years and now miss his last words. Speaking to the Radio Times Magazine about his disease, he once said,
“It saddens me that I’m not going to be around as much as I thought with my wife and family…and I realised if things progress as they do on average, I can’t plan beyond 12 years.”
The late presenter also filmed for the celebrity special of The Great British Bake Off in aid of Stand Up To Cancer. Though Turnbull had his prostate tested at ages 40 and 50, he could not escape it in his 60s.
