Scarlet Vas welcomes a baby girl with her stepbrother-husband Tayo Ricci on Christmas Day

Christmas Blessing! Scarlet Vas and her husband Tayo Ricci, who is also her stepbrother, have expanded their family.
The couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Christmas Day. They announced the joyful news on Instagram on December 25, sharing a series of hospital photos that captured their excitement.
The first image shows the couple cuddling with their newborn in bed, while the second features a close-up of them holding their baby’s tiny hand.
In their post, they expressed their happiness with the caption,
“Our Christmas miracle has finally arrived Merry Christmas from our family to yours,”
The following day, the couple shared an Instagram reel to show their followers another glimpse of their baby.
The reel featured the moment where Ricci holding their daughter while Vas kissed her on the head.
Similarly, they captioned the post,
“And then there were three,”
On Friday, December 27, they posted an Instagram carousel with pictures of their pet dogs in front of a Christmas tree.
In one photo, Tayo wore Santa-themed boxer shorts, while Scarlet had a matching pair rolled at the waist with a white crop top.
They cuddled their baby and kissed her on the head. The post was captioned,
“Belated Merry Christmas AND the happiest of New Years to all of you Love from the Ricci’s,”
Furthermore, Vas and Ricci have not yet shared the name of their newborn child, and they are also keeping the baby’s face private.
A couple’s heartfelt tribute to their firstborn
A few days before their baby was born, Scarlet and Tayo shared a heartfelt message dedicated to their first child.
They posted a slideshow of pictures from their maternity photo shoot, which included the lengthy caption,
“The last moments with you in mommy’s belly. Soon a little miracle will call us mum & dad. Our hearts full of joy, the happiest we’ve had. A baby girl is coming, our world about change. With every tiny heartbeat, our love will rearrange. From the moment we made you, we knew love would grow. Now we’ll hold her close, and let that love show.”
The post went on to say,
“From country to country, you gave us your grace. We long for the day we get to see your face. Together, we’ve waited for this love to begin. A little girl to complete us, from deep within. The world will be brighter with her in our arms. Our family is whole, our new little star.”

Scarlet Vas and Tayo Ricci first met as teenagers at the age of 13 through mutual friends. In an interview with news.au.com, the new mom, 29, shared,
“We were about 13 years old when we first met through mutual friends, our families knew each other and they introduced us I guess you could say, So we’ve known each other for a very long time.”
Although they are now married, they are also stepsiblings due to their parents’ relationships.
Scarlet clarified that they are “definitely not blood-related,” despite the public’s perception of their connection.
The couple is candid about their unique family dynamics while maintaining some privacy to respect their parents.
Recently, Scarlet responded to critics by expressing that she finds their negative comments amusing. She stated,
“I don’t really read our comments section, but if I do, I actually laugh. … If something’s really negative, we might comment back, we find it is quite a good disarming tactic.”
In a November interview, she also noted that their posts about being stepsiblings attract the most attention on social media, saying,
“I’ve realized through us that everyone loves it. I didn’t know everyone loved stepsiblings,”
Scarlet and Tayo got married in September 2023 in Mykonos, Greece. A year later, they announced on Instagram that they were expecting a child, stating,
“And then there were three. We can’t wait to meet you”
At that time, Vas was seven months pregnant. In October, they revealed that they were having a baby girl and continued to share updates about the pregnancy on their Instagram account.
