Alongside the post, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker’s wife wrote in the caption section,
“A few weeks after our sweet girls heaven day, Shaquil and I found out we were expecting, I just know Arrayah had a special hand in picking this sweet girl to add to our family! we are so beyond blessed, so beyond grateful that God chose to give us another little girl!”
The expectant mom continued by expressing her belief that Arrayah would be the “best big sister angel to little Miss Allanah”. She shared,
“Arrayah had given me hope. She has changed so many lives with the short 2 years she blessed this earth, and God works in such mysterious ways, but I will never ever doubt his plans for my life.”
She then concludes her statement by expressing gratitude to God and admitting that she has been devoted.
The couple is also a parent to sons Braylon, 10, and Shaquil Jr., 11.
The happy news comes within a month after Shaquil remembered their daughter in an Instagram post. In early June, he wrote,
“I miss you baby girl, I’m so glad we had the time that we had together and wish we had more. I love you forever you were everything and more for our family.”
Barrett has also been attending the Buccaneers’ minicamp in preparation for the next football season since early June.
Head Coach Todd Bowles gushed about him while speaking to the Tampa Bay Times, saying,
“Shaq is one of the mentally-toughest character guys I know. That’s a testament to him, To have him out here and trying to get ready, I’m sure it’s not easy. But he’s handling it and we’re behind him.”
