Jonathon Ownes and Simone Biles are soon-to-be spouses! Olympic gymnast, 26, and her fiance Jonathan are ready to take a milestone in their relationship.
The couple, who got their engagement last year, took to Instagram on Saturday, April 15, to announce the happy news that they are one step closer to walking down the aisle.
Simone Biles and Jonathon Ownes are getting married anytime soon
The Olympic gold medalist shared a photo of two seated in a car while proudly showing off the official marriage license as they had big smiles on their faces.
According to the official document, the soon-to-be-married couple issued the certificate in Montgomery County in the state of Texas. Well, the duo also plans to wed in the same place.
Similarly, she simply captioned the post,
“almost time to say “I do”,”
Owens, on the other hand, commented underneath the post while remarking,
“Soon,”
Further, Simone shared several photos and videos on her Instagram story as well including a photo of the couple outside the county offices where they proudly showed their marriage license.
Biles also shared a video of the couple getting cocktails to celebrate right after getting the license and wrote next to the video, “post marriage license things.”
Also, she added a song over the video with the lyrics “girl, let’s just get married. I just wanna get married.”

The marriage license comes almost ten months after the couple finalized their wedding date and venue.
In June 2022, the athlete and her fiance announced they have already chosen their wedding date and venue however they haven’t yet disclosed it to the public.
The gymnast and the NFL star have been together since 2020. The pair met online and fell instantly for each other just before the pandemic.
Similarly, they got engagement in last February after two years of dating.
