In a new interview with The Rolling Stones, the Your Love is My Drug singer revealed that at one point in her career, she was secretly engaged to someone but ended it after some time.
The 36-year-old musician did not reveal the identity of her ex-fiance and said that she is still friends with the guy. Moreover, a song called Too Far Gone from her upcoming album Gag Order was inspired after their split.
As for her current relationship, the Tik Tok hitmaker has been in a long-term relationship with writer Brad Ashenfelter whom she started dating in 2014.
Throughout their long romance, the couple kept it very private. However, they were seen enjoying a romantic stroll together on a beach in May 2021.
It is not sure whether the two are still together or have parted ways for good. The Die Young songstress previously revealed that the two were not in a monogamous relationship.
In an interview with Attitude Magazine in 2019, the Grammy winner said,
“He’s a sweetheart, but he also lets me be me,”
”You know, I’ll call him and be like, ‘I had fun tonight, I met a sweet girl and we had a really good time.’ And he’ll say, ‘Cool, babe, I love you.’ It’s so nice.”
The Praying hitmaker also said that her beau understood her ”need to run free” but that she would “always come back to the barn for apples from my boy!”

The singer teased,
“I really dug into some of my uglier emotions and sides of myself that are less fun,”
“It’s scary being vulnerable. The fact that I have compiled an entire record of these emotions, of anger, of insecurity, of anxiety, of grief, of pain, of regret, all of that is so nerve-racking — but it’s also so healing.”
