Singer Taylor Swift is no more apolitical! She uses her influence to denounce Donald Trump in public!
Unlike model Chrissy Teigen, American singer Taylor Swift was the most apolitical celebrity. But no more, She has now started getting vocal against Donald Trump for using his platform to stoke racism and white supremacy.
She has urged her fans to denounce the President and vote him down this coming November.
Taylor Swift gets vocal against Donald Trump
Singer Taylor Swift until now was focused on her work. She used to never talk or interfere in the political activities of her nation. But no more.
She like Chrissy Teigen and other celebrities has decided to use her influence to get Donald Trump voted out of power. She is extremely upset about Donald’s controversial tweets on the unrest in Minneapolis after George Floyd’s death.
Taylor shared with her 86.1 million Twitter fans:
“After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump“

She had said at that young age that she was very young and uneducated and in no capacity to influence anyone’s political decisions. In 2016, she was again quiet though many celebrities endorsed Hillary Clinton.
Taylor talks about her political silence in documentary Miss Americana
This January, Netflix released a documentary on Taylor Swift, Miss Americana. In this, she spoke about her political silence early in her career.
She admitted that keeping quiet on these national matters was a part of her trying to project herself as a good girl. She felt that everyone around and her fans would like her to be a good girl and hence she became one for them.
But in 2018, Taylor thought that this was all enough. She could no more stay silent in the presence of so much of political injustice around. Hence she decided to speak up.

Taylor decided to now speak up for what is right. Therefore, she endorsed two Democratic Congress candidates during the midterm polls in 2018. In the documentary, Taylor states:
“I think it is so frilly and spineless of me to stand on stage and go, ‘Happy Pride Month, you guys,’ and then not say this, when someone’s literally coming for their [the queer community’s] neck,”
