Edward Archer, also known as st Special Ed, is a hip-hop genre musician.

He is best known for the songs “I Got It Made”, “Think About It” and “I’m The Magnificent”, produced by “Hitman” Howie Tee and released in 1989 on the Youngest in Charge album, recorded when Ed was 16 years old. The album sold almost a million copies.

The New York Police Department is investigating an alleged police brutality incident based on claims that rapper Special Ed and his brother, Andrew, were assaulted by undercover officers in their Brooklyn, N.Y., home.

“The incident is currently under investigation,” NYPD public information office spokeswoman Cheryl Cox said Tuesday.

Cox added, however, that “very little is known right now.”

Special Ed, 26, and his brother are accusing Brooklyn police of pistol-whipping them after their father filed a harassment complaint based on an incident in which undercover officers were allegedly denied access to the family’s backyard while chasing a suspect. The brothers are reportedly planning to file a suit against the department.
