On Tuesday, the doting mom shared a message for her late son on her Instagram story who died by suicide on December 14.
Alexander shared a throwback photo of the mom-son duo FaceTiming and captioned it:
“Oh if only I could FT to heaven…”
This is the second time the DJ’s mom has posted a tribute since he died at the age of 40.
Last week, she wrote on Instagram,
“Family and friends, thank you for all the love, prayers and encouragement,”
“Please know I see all the messages, texts, posts and the phone calls. I can’t use words right now. Please know I will reach out when I can.”
Connie concluded the message by sharing a special message for her son and wrote,
“Stephen Laurel, your mother loves you to eternity and beyond ? ?.”
The former Ellen Show DJ is survived by his wife Allison Holker, and their three children- Weslie, 14, Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3.

Boss’ family had no inkling he could take his own life
In a statement, Boss’s grieving wife wrote last week,
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,”
“Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him.”
“He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
Many of his friends and family members paid tribute to the late dancing star. The SYTYCD star’s grandfather also spoke about the impact and legacy he left behind.
Eddy Boss said:
“Every word has meaning. His last words to me were a simple text that says, ‘I love you Dad-Dad,’”
“Our question is why? Where did it come from?”
The 84-year-old explained that nothing seemed off and there was “no indication that anything was out of the ordinary” when the two chatted just days before he died.
The heartbroken grandfather said:
“We’re completely devastated right now,”
“All I can say is he was a beautiful person that contributed so much to this world and to everyone he met in a positive way. We miss him dearly, and we’re hurting tremendously.”
Boss reportedly left a suicide note in the motel room where he took his own life.
