Taylor Swift’s alleged stalker is in police custody
An unidentified man was arrested for reportedly trying to get into singer Taylor Swift‘s apartment in Tribeca, New York, on Saturday.
A spokesperson for NYPD revealed that officers received a call about a “disorderly person” on Franklin Street.
The Public Information Officer said,
“Upon arrival, [police] were informed that the individual attempted to open a door to a building at the location,”
Although police didn’t confirm the man was trying to sneak into the Grammy winner’s residence, another source confirmed that they saw the accused trying to get into her house.
The eyewitness said,
“I first saw him around 1 p.m. — he went up to Taylor’s door,”
“I’m not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell.”
The insiders also noted that the man has been roaming around the neighborhood, mainly where Swift lives for weeks.
Another source said that they also saw the same man “lurking here for a month.”
Reportedly, he has been “sleeping on the stoop, chain-smoking constantly, shouting, and generally making everyone uncomfortable.”
The neighbor claims,
“When he arrived before Christmas, my husband asked what he was doing here and he said, ‘I want to see Taylor,’”
“He even had flowers at one point.”
They also said that they called the police many times but they only took action when the man tried to get into the building.
The neighbor added,
“I asked him to leave this morning and he just stared at me, catatonic,”
“Total nutcase.”
The police reportedly arrived at around 1:45 p.m. ET in several patrol cars, officers spoke to the alleged stalker for “a few minutes before they cuffed him.”
The eyewitness said,
“It was all pretty civil,”
“He didn’t resist. There was no yelling or anything.”

Swift’s past cases of being stalked
Photos obtained by Page Six show the bearded man with shaggy brown hair being booked. He wore a tan hoodie, khaki pants, a navy blue jacket, and tan gloves.
Police said that they arrested the individual since there was an active and unrelated warrant out for his arrest. He is still in custody.
It seems that the singer, 34, was likely at her home during the reported break-in attempt.
Another source revealed that they saw the popstar’s three bodyguards around her apartment earlier on Saturday, just hours before the suspect arrived.
The Red hitmaker is expected to attend the Kansas City Chiefs and her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s game against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in upstate New York on Sunday.
Swift is not a stranger when it comes to getting stalked. In 2019, a man named Roger Alvarado was arrested for trying to break into her Tribeca apartment.
He was later sentenced to four years in prison, his second time being arrested for the same crime.
In 2022, another man named Joshua Christian was arrested for allegedly stalking Swift across “multiple states.”
