In June 2018, Chinese actress Li Bingbing revealed in Shanghai that she nearly died while shooting the sci-fi horror film The Meg. She said,
“I’ve always been afraid of water, but one of my scenes required me to be put in a cage five or six meters underwater, and I had to hold my breath for a very long time,”
She revealed that they had to reshoot the scene again and again and she felt like she was going to die. The director told that she would not be able to go on much longer. Instead of giving her a break, he asked her to hold her breath for 15 seconds. Likewise, she shared,
“When they took me out of the water, the director came to compliment me, but I was too weak to speak, then he started to fear that I was really close to death.”
Was Li Bingbing dating a 17 years younger man?
There were rumors that Li Bingbing was dating a 17 years younger man. She confirmed their relationship in January 2018. It was known that she was dating Hsu Wen Nan.
