Todd and Julie Chrisley are Guilty of Bank Fraud and Tax Evasion and are Sentenced to Prison for 19 Years in Total!

Julie and Todd Chrisley are going to prison for 19 years
Julie and Todd Chrisley are guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud. This causes them to be behind bars for 19 years for their crime.
The Chrisleys are facing 12 years in jail and 16 months probation after they were guilty of the crime which they had denied for a long time.
The court has also given a lighter sentence of seven years in prison. Additionally, she received 16 months of probation.
The couple’s attorneys and federal prosecutors did not respond to the requests for their comments.
Before the latest sentence, prosecutors recommended 22 years in prison for Todd, 53, and 12 years for Julie, 49, after the reality TV stars were guilty of various charges a few months ago.
The prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memorandum on November 16 :
“The Chrisleys have built an empire based on the lie that their wealth came from dedication and hard work,”
“The jury’s unanimous verdict sets the record straight: Todd and Julie Chrisley are career swindlers who have made a living by jumping from one fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors, and evading taxes at every corner.”
The Chrisley Knows Best stars have claimed to be innocent ever since the case began. They fought back and vouched for less than the given time. Todd’s lawyers requested nine years in prison, max. As for Julie, they asked for probation with no jail time.
The couple also had filed a joint motion for a new trial that claimed a witness lied during their trial, something which the court refused in October.

Todd was desperate for money after his show’s success
The case started in August 2019 when the reality stars were accused of submitting fake documents to a bank to secure more than $30 million in loans. Furthermore, the wife was accused of using fake documents to rent a home.
Todd, on the other hand, was convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the US, and tax evasion. Julie was guilty of wire fraud and obstruction of justice in addition to the same federal charges as her husband.
They share sons Case, 26, Grayson, 16, and daughter Savannah, 25.
The Chrisleys’ sentencing was announced just a week after Grayson suffered a severe car accident in Nashville and was rushed to the hospital.
The family rose to fame after appearing on Chrisley Knows Best which premiered on USA Network in 2014. It showed the family’s crazy adventures that mainly focused on their lavish lifestyle.
A few months ago, Todd confessed that he became a slave to money once these how became a hit.
In a July episode of his podcast Chrisley Confessions, the reality star said:
“I got lost when I couldn’t tell the difference in my self-worth and my net worth,”
“And the bigger my net worth became, the less I focused on my self-worth because everything was being built around that net worth. Around stuff.”
