The couple, Fox News political commentator Tomi Lahren and Brandon Fricke called off their engagement. Additionally, Tomi gave back the $ 50k worth of engagement ring to Brandon.
The couple split in mid-February it is learned. There was no bad blood there and the decision to split was mutual. Even after they called time on their relationship they continue to remain good friends. Both are staunch conservative pro-Trump supporters.
Though the pair did not reveal the reason for the separation, a close source said that Tomi was not yet ready to settle down. She discussed it with Brandon and they mutually decided to take some time off from their relationship.
The couple’s relationship timeline
The couple has been dating for the past 2.5 years. Tomi, 29, and Brandon, 32 got engaged in June 2019.
They announced the news on their Instagram and Tomi displayed her $ 50k engagement ring in a photo on social media. The ring was pear-shaped and had a diamond-encrusted band.
A friend of the couple told Daily Mail TV:
‘It was a difficult decision for both of them but the right one.
‘Tomi felt she wasn’t ready to settle down and made her feelings known. They still talk to each other all the time and support each other’s career. There’s no hard feelings and definitely hope to stay friends.’
The last time that Tomi posted a photo of the two on her Instagram was in January 2020. Besides, that also was her last photo with the glittering engagement ring on her finger.
Tomi was previously in a relationship with Navy SEAL Jerad Christian who she met on a night out while in San Diego. The couple parted ways and Jerad continues to reside in San Diego.
Brandon’s financial situation
Brandon had purchased the ring and had put it in his financial statement as a debt of $ 50000. He had used his Amex card to make the purchase.
Brandon is standing for Congress as an Independent in California’s 33rd district which includes the exclusive towns of Bel-Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Santa Monica, and Calabasas.
Additionally, in the financial report, he has listed his salary of $ 60000 as assistant director of football operations of Vanguard Sports Group in 2019.
He founded the company Not My President Calendar. He made a profit of $ 50000 from it. This company sells political calendars for $ 25 each.
