Just one week before Molly filed for divorce officially, Blake was on his friend, Tyler Ramsey‘s podcast. He revealed that he was in a severe state of depression since one year and also had suicidal tendency. He added:
“Last April I was at the end of my rope. I didn’t really know what to do. I felt totally trapped.”
Blake continued:
“I didn’t feel there was anything to look forward to in life. I was really consumed with these horrible dark thoughts. It was really scary.”
He consulted a psychiatrist who made a misdiagnosis of bipolar disorder type 2 on him. He was prescribed antidepressants, antipsychotic drugs and mood stabilizers. But his condition deteriorated and he contemplated doing suicide. He was even given electric shock treatment or ECT.
Blake took a second opinion and was hospitalized at the Alternative to Meds Center in Sedona, Arizona for five weeks. The second psychiatrist weaned him off the medications and started counseling. Blake felt better but was not cured. He posted on his Facebook:
“Today, I feel like myself again and am committed to continuing my healing journey and rebuilding my life. While I’m not “cured,” I’m on a path I believe will lead to lasting wellness.”
