Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary! On 10th December 2021, they celebrated their anniversary and the singer posted a black-and-white photo of them kissing on the stage.
She wrote,
“Happy Sweet Sixteen, Mr. Yearwood!”
Trisha calls herself ‘bonus mom’ to her husband Garth’s three daughters Taylor Mayne, August Anna, and Allie Colleen from his first wife Sandy Mahl. Her step-daughter Allie also congratulated her parents on their 16 years of togetherness. She shared a video of the flowers and wrote,
“16 years ago I got the best bonus mom in the world. As a child with two amazing parents to have been chosen by a 3rd as a daughter is a gift I cannot explain.”
Trisha is very close to her stepdaughters and considers herself to be lucky. She is thankful for being the third parent in their lives. Likewise, Yearwood considers her daughters as gifts she never knew she needed.

Married life of Trisha and Garth Brooks
Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks were first introduced to one another by songwriter Kent Blazy in 1987. At the time, they were unsigned demo singers who released their first album on Capitol Records. They were in and out of each other’s lives in various ways for years.
They were quietly dating for a while and were spotted holding hands in 2002. The couple eventually went on to marry on 15th December 2005 at their home in Owasso, Oklahoma. Garth surprised her with a public proposal on stage at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace in May 2005.
Trisha and Garth revealed that the Covid-19 quarantine made their marriage stronger. Garth revealed,
“We used it to work on ourselves because we were by ourselves for two weeks, almost three weeks. I think 99.9% of people wouldn’t have done what I [did], but I thought since we’re here, and we ain’t got nowhere to go, let’s just attack some of the hardest things over the 15 years that bugs one of us, right?”
