Brandon McMillan and his personal life
Brandon McMillan has completely given his life to animals and working with them. His time is so preoccupied that Brandon McMillan gets no time to date!
Just before the premiere of his show on CBS Lucky Dog, Brandon McMillan shared some of his thoughts in an interview in the year 2013. He had said that he trains and raises his pets by himself. He also disclosed that he is single.
Justifying it, he had said:
“I’m so consumed by the show that I go to bed at around 9 p.m. because I have to get up at 4 a.m. We start every morning around 6 a.m. because I want to make sure we work the dogs before the heat kicks in every afternoon.”
But Brandon does know what he expects from his partner. He had said:
“I’m a joker and a goofball. If she seems too serious, get out! If I can’t laugh constantly with someone, it won’t work out.”
He wants his prospective wife to be an animal lover and also have a good sense of humor. His ideal date location would be outdoors.
It does not appear that Brandon has found time to search for and date a girlfriend. He is still single.

How did Brandon get the love for animals?
Brandon’s parents and his uncle were circus trainers. He grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals such as elephants, dogs, big cats, bears, and primates. He used to work with his family and learned the skills and tricks of the trade from them.
At the age of 18, Brandon moved out to LA to join his uncle who was working as an animal trainer for a company that used to provide animals for Hollywood shoots.
His uncle was with this company for nearly 15 years then. Recalling those times, Brandon said:
“When I left the circus, I knew I wanted another animal training job, so Hollywood was the ideal option. I started working with animals for the movies, but as we all know, movies come and go, so work would get slow a lot. I then began training dogs for shelters, a cause that’s always held a spot in my heart.”
Brandon’s unique career
Brandon started teaching people and pet owners how to handle dogs. He advised them that instead of depositing the misbehaving dogs at the shelters, they could just take 3 days to learn how to retrain the dog.
This would be useful for both the owners and the dog. Many of the owners comply and Brandon is also happy about it.
His main clients are couples who have differing opinions about which dog to adopt and how to parent the little puppies.
He said:
“The woman usually wants a dog to be more cutesy and more of a lap dog, while the guy wants the dog to be more tough,”
Brandon then balances and becomes the mediator between them and provides them with tips on proper dog handling and training.
He also trains dogs to help disabled people. This handsome trainer has won an Emmy award for his TV show and his work and show both have been appreciated by all.
