Vladislav Namestnikov began his professional career as a Syracuse Crunch player which is Tampa Bay Lightning-affiliated American Hockey League team on 14 September 2012. However, just after one month, he got an injury and was out for several weeks.

During the 2013 season, he again broke his hand in the game against Hamilton Bulldogs on 23 November 2013.

In the 2014 season, he came to his career-best figure playing 56 games, scoring 19 goals, 29 assists, 48b points, and 40 penalty minutes.

After giving his best performance, Vladislav signed with Tampa Bay Lightning. On 13 October 2014, he netted his first goal as well as an assist to Victor Hedman in a 7–1 win against the Montreal Canadiens.

Tampa Bay Lightning signed him for one more year on 17 July 2015.

Furthermore, the young star player played 43 games in the 2014-15 NHL season scoring nine goals and 16 points, which were all his career-best along with his teammate Andrei Vasilevskiy. He is now with another team named Colorado Avalanche.

On 15 January 2016, Vladislav smashed his first hat-trick in a 5–4 win over the visitor team Pittsburgh Penguins at Amalie Arena. Later in 2016 summer, he re-signed a two-year contract worth $3.875 million.
