Walk-your-pet rule! Look what Spaniards are doing to circumvent the stay-at-home orders of the government!
- The current coronavirus pandemic has turned into a nightmare.
- It has been so severe, so extensive, and so prolonged that people have gone completely fed up with it.
- They are finding it extremely difficult to stay at home.
The restrictions to their movements with idleness have made them think of ideas and ways to circumvent the governmental strict rules and get some free air and freedom.
The police in Spain have released some videos wherein people tried funny ways to misuse the walk-your-pet rule concession given to the public in Spain during this pandemic.
Spain and the coronavirus pandemic
The country of Spain like other innumerable countries in the world has been hit hard by the current coronavirus pandemic. The I fiction had reached its shore on 31 January 2020 when a German tourist first tested positive for the deadly virus.

The community spread started in mid-February. And in a month, health care workers reported cases from all its 50 provinces. Therefore on 14 March 2020 lockdown was imposed.
By 25th March, its death toll surpassed that of Mainland China. On 2 April, 950 people died in one day and it was, the highest reported in the world. More than 23k deaths occurred and over 207k people are infected in the country.
Walk-your-pet rule in Spain
The Spanish government restricted all non-essential movements of citizens. The stay-at-home orders were strict but people were allowed to walk their pets.
And this rule of allowing you to walk your pets made idle minds think of creative ways to go out. Even those who did not have pets used some amusing things – animate or non-animate as pets and took them out to walk them.
But the police were not amused. And it fined such people for trying g to bend the rules wrongly for their benefit. Watch the videos to understand what exactly I mean.
Spaniards go innovative… In the wrong way!!!
On Friday, 24 April 2020, the Spanish National Police tweeted some images of its citizens using unusual pets to walk them.
A man in Logrono, a town in Northern Spain decided to walk his fish in a bowl to try to come out for some fresh air. But the police confronted him and penalized him.
According to them, he had violated the orders of the government to stay at home during this pandemic. They were not at all amused with his act.

Earlier on 25 March 2020, a man in Lanzarote was walking a hen on the pavement. The Spanish Civil Guards fined him for violation of stay-at-home orders.

On 16 March 2020, a man told a toy dog to a leash and was walking him down the road. The police released his image on their Spanish National Police Union Twitter page. They also requested people to not try to deceive the police.

And on the same day, there was another video from the police department of the Southeastern city of Murcia. In the video, a man was dressed as a Tyrannosaurus Rex and was trying to walk the streets. But the police caught him and sent him packing home.
