Rooney left Everton in 2004 and signed for United for £27 million. It was Alex Ferguson who believed in him and signed saying “best young player this country has seen in 30 years”. Since then he delivered all his skills and showed the football world how talented he is.
Rooney has always become the first choice for the Reds since his arrival. He has played in the golden era in Manchester United history.
Rooney has registered his name in the list of great players of its club history alongside Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, and Ryan Giggs. The English Man assisted his club in winning each and every competition possible to lift the trophy.

An Old Trafford farewell
There was quite doubt about Rooney’s future in Old Trafford when he was often left out of United’s opening lineup by manager Jose Mourinho from the early matches last season.
In which he appeared just 25 times which was the fewest among his whole 13 seasons. On the other hand, he had managed to net just eight goals which were also the lowest in a season. In recent times, he has also lost space for England’s squad.
Manchester United manager Mourinho said,
“It is no secret that I have long been an admirer of Wayne; he has been a model professional throughout his time at the club and will remain in the history books for many years to come.”
Being on the bench for the longest time in his United career Rooney stated,
“It is obviously frustrating. I have played my whole career and it was the first time in my career where I didn’t play and I was on the bench,” He added, “it was a difficult final year at Old Trafford.”

“I have kept it quiet for the last 13 years, but I’ve actually been wearing Everton pajamas at home with my kids”.
Resigning Rooney as a blue again Koeman said,
“Wayne has shown me that ambition that we need and that winning mentality – he knows how to win titles and I’m really happy he’s decided to come home.”
He added,
“He loves Everton and he was desperate to come back. He is still only 31 and I don’t have any doubts about his qualities. It’s fantastic he’s here.”
