There is a new drug that is getting abused by celebrities and the elite group in the USA. It is called the pink cocaine. Also, this drug caused the death of One Direction member, Liam Payne. What is it? How dangerous is it?
What is the pink cocaine?
Pink cocaine is a new drug commonly used by substance abusers of Hollywood. It had caused the death of one of the members of the One Direction pop band, Liam Payne. Under the influence of this drug, on 16 October 2024, Liam, 31 fell to death from the third floor balcony of the hotel CasaSur in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The drug is fatal and can have an extreme effect on those who use it. It is a combination of ketamine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy. A source has revealed to RadarOnline:
“This drug cocktail is a nightmare as it can kill so fast, and yet it’s the biggest craze in the Hollywood drugs scene.”
“It’s overtaking ketamine in popularity, and the deaths from it are going to hit epidemic proportions among the rich and famous who can afford it as there’s so much packed into it.”
The forensic reports of the blood of Liam after his death stated that his blood stream had this drug along with crack, cocaine, and benzodiazepine.

The name of the drug comes from its pink color which is due to the food color mixed with it. Additionally, it may have a flavor of strawberry and is taken inside in inhaled or oral form. In common slang, the drug is also called tusi or tuci. It acts as a depressant as well as a stimulant.
The former DEA agent Bill Bodner opines:
“The first piece that we almost always see in pink, or pink cocaine, is ketamine – a dissociative drug, something that makes people feel like they’re detached from reality. The second component is psychedelics.”
This drug has become highly popular and rose in fame first in Latin America. It is cheaper and can be modified to suit the drug abuser’s taste. The drug is also commonly consumed in Ibiza in Spain. This also happens to be a favorite hideout and vacation spot of the British people. This drug is in fashion now and preferred by the millennials.
Ill-effects of the drug
This pink-colored drug is extremely lethal with a number of strong side-effects. It can affect the heart and circulatory system of the body leading to hypertension, heart problems and even strokes. Moreover, it can cause blurring of vision, panic attacks, and anxiety. Also, the drug breaks the user’s touch with reality.
Spanish authorities have commenced on an awareness campaign to make people aware of the severe ill-effects of this drug. A source from the Spanish police revealed to Majorca Daily Bulletin:
“It’s so powerful that it causes severe hypertension and can lead to heart failure. It’s a bomb because it is ecstasy and amphetamines in powder form. People don’t know what they are consuming.”
Also, the drug finds mention in a lawsuit that former music producer, Rodney Jones made against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. As per the court documents:
“Sean required all employees from the butler, the chef to the housekeepers, to walk around with a pouch or fanny pack filled with cocaine, GHB, ecstasy, marijuana gummies (100-250 mg’s each), and Tuci (a pink drug that is a combination of ecstasy and cocaine).”
