Last week just four days back, American actress and film producer, Eva Longoria, 49 revealed that she with her family has moved out of the United States of America. They are now shuffling between Mexico and Spain. Why did Eva make this major move of her life?

Eva Longoria relocates out of the USA

It might have come as a shock to many including Eva’s fans that the gorgeous actress has made the decision to relocate and stay out of the USA. She made this revelation four days back. Further, Eva Longoria stated that she and her family now are dividing their time between Spain in Europe and Mexico in the North American subcontinent. Eva told US’s Marie Claire magazine:

“I had my whole adult life here,” 

“But even before [the pandemic], it was changing. The vibe was different. And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to shit on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”

Talking about Donald Trump and his win in this year’s Presidential elections, Eva said:

“The shocking part is not that he won,”

“It’s that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office.”

She added:

“If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place,”

Eva clarifies the reason

Earlier, Eva had also noted that she is lucky to be able to go somewhere else. But all Americans do not have that privilege. She shared:

“They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”

Eva also had hoped that the best person wins. But after Donald won, she felt that the best person does not always win.

But now, on her appearance on 15th November 2024 on the podcast The View: Behind the Table, Eva clarified to host Ana Navarro:

“Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of the United States because of Trump?” 

“I’ve been in Europe for almost three years.”

She added:

“I didn’t leave because of the political environment. I left because my work took me there.”

But, Eva did admit that relocation for her would mean staying away from the 24 hours news bombardment in the USA.

Who are in Eva Longoria’s family?

Eva had started a relationship with Mexican businessman José Antonio “Pepe” Bastón Patiño. The two met through a mutual friend who had arranged a blind date for them in the City of Mexico. Eva announced on 13 December 2015 that she and José are engaged. Her husband was, at that time, the President of Televisa which is a large media company of Latin America.

And on 21 May 2016, the two exchanged wedding vows in Mexico. In June 2018, Eva gave birth to their child together, a son, Santiago Enrique Bastón.

Earlier, in 2002, Eva had married late American actor, Tyler Christopher. Their marriage collapsed and they split in 2004. The same year in November 2004, she met French-American basketball player, Tony Parker, 42. The two started dating and on 30 November 2006, they had an engagement. On 6 July 2007, the two had a court marriage in Paris city Hall. This marriage of Eva also failed and they filed for divorce on 17 November 2010.

There have been reports that Tony had cheated on Eva with another woman. This other woman was Erin Barry, the then-wife of Tony’s teammate, Brent Barry.
