Anthea Turner, 64, the British TV presenter, has been in a relationship with businessman Mark Armstrong, 59 since 2019. They met in July that year at a London nightclub.

Later, the same year, Mark proposed to Anthea in Italy and she said yes. This happened during a romantic holiday to mark Mark’s birthday celebration. About the engagement Anthea told Hello magazine:

“I had a hunch. It was all very quick (we were engaged within just a few months of meeting), but when you are older it does tend to move a bit quicker because ‘when you know, you know’ and there is no point in messing around is there?!”

They had planned to marry in 2020 the first time. After the postponement, wedding was scheduled for 2021, later 2022 and even in 2023. However, all these four times , the plan was shelved.

Anthea and Mark wedding has kept postponing due to personal tragedies and COVID pandemic and ensuing lockdown. Anthea told Daily Mail UK:

“We feel like we’re married. But why it hasn’t happened is my mum died, and Mark’s mum died, then there was Covid and then we moved in together properly.”

This week, Anthea spoke to news reporters during the party at the launch of the Undercroft Mayfair restaurant in London. TV chef Aldo Zill will be the chief chef at this restaurant.

Anthea said that after 2020 wedding postponement due to COVID-19 and 2021 wedding postponement due to both Mark and Anthea losing their respective mothers in death, the couple planned a wedding for 2022 in Italy.

But this date was also cancelled. Later, a 2023 date was fixed for a UK wedding that was again cancelled.

Their friends are now certain that the wedding will never happen. Anthea stated:

“We keep telling friends, ‘Oh, we will sort it out.’ Maybe we’ll elope and have a holiday and tell everybody we got married on holiday.”

No new date is fixed yet. In September 2024, a fan asked Anthea for her exact wedding date on social media. And Anthea replied:

“We need to sort it out,”

Followed by an emoji of a face with tongue out and crossed eyes.

Anthea Turner’s past relationships

Anthea was in a relationship with her DJ co-worker, Bruno Brookes. After the break-up, she started dating her manager, Peter Powell. Peter was a DJ before and the two wed in 1990. After eight years, they divorced in 1998.

The same year, Anthea started a live-in relationship with Grant Bovey, the CEO of Imagine Homes. Grant deserted his wife, Della for Anthea, reconciled with his wife, and again left her for Anthea.

Grant had three daughters from his past relationships. He exchanged wedding vows with Anthea on 23 August 2000.

However, Grant was not loyal to Anthea as well and they separated in 2012. They divorced in October 2015.
