Will Smith, 53, seems to officially back on Instagram!
On Saturday, August 20, Smith posted his first IG post after apology video to Chris Rock for the Oscar slap. He posted a popular meme of a baby gorilla poking a large adult gorilla by tentatively touching the big one’s backside.
The video was captioned,
“Me trying to get back on social media,”
As soon as he posted on Instagram fans quickly took to the post’s comments section sharing their support.
One of his fan commented,
“We will welcome you back man!,”
Another penned,
“We’ve missed you! Everyone goes through s–t. You’re human, just like the rest of us! COME BACK WILL!,”
The actor instantly took a break from social media back in March after he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Similaly, Smith recently shared a video of himself and his son Trey Smith,29, facing off against a spider on Instagram. In the clip, Will says, “What in the hell,” while filming the video. “That is a big ass spider“.
From the other side, presumably Trey, adds,
“that’s a tarantula,”
Afterwards, “Men in Black” actor laughs and shows his feet, commenting that he is standing up on a chair to be away from the ground on which the spider is walking.
He captioned the video,
“Posting this from a Holiday Inn,”
