A Kolkata gut will be remembered forever for his workaholic nature. Kolkata groom working on a laptop during the wedding became an instant meme. The guy is a bit distracted in his wedding as he is taking work from home too seriously, but isn’t it his marriage that’s happening?

In a viral picture that is circulated widely on social media, a groom can be seen sitting at the mandap. He is captured working on his laptop while the traditional marriage rituals are taking place.

The meme material hilarious picture shows a groom seated in the mandap. There are two priests who are helping him perform his wedding pujas and the rituals, but the man is more interested in his work than the bride.

Though it is not known what he was working on, he is trolled to be doing some official work even in his Shaadi. The funny photo by an Instagram handle named ‘Calcutta Instagrammers’, caught everyone caption as it was captioned,

Instagram reacts to Kolkata Groom sitting with the Laptop on Mandap

The Instagram post went viral with thousands of likes.  Not everyone saw the work aspect as the priority some joked about the big fat wedding expenses. They pointed at the groom’s expense while some backlash against him for prioritizing work more than his bride commenting,

“I don’t find this funny. No organisation asks an employee to work on their wedding days, this person needs to get a life and learn work life balance if this is really true and not staged! God bless the woman he’s marrying.”

Talking about how toxic the guy can get to be his wife-to-be and the work culture itself being abusive as the other added,

“This is height of toxicity and because of people exactly like the one this groom is trying to portray (or he himself is) the toxic work culture is continuing with minimal resistance. Corporate employees do get ample amount of leaves, and nobody can stop them from using that. People like this promote the culture where taking your hard earned leaves means underutilization.”

Someone even shared their personal experience of how working with electronic media and IT firms is too busy. He added how he starts his work everywhere possible from the laptop.

“Completely agree..I am working with an IT firm…n trust me it’s so relatable…I keep my laptop in every possible place to ensure timely delivery of my work…I meet TAT, di report on time, do attend all con call timely what not….thanks to electronic media….if company gives such flexibility employees also pour their best output…”
