WWE champion Becky Lynch is pregnant with her first child with fiance Seth Rollins!

This was the major news tweeted some time before the Money in the Bank match about WWE Raw women’s champion Becky Lynch.

Update 2021: Seth and Becky welcomed the first child a daughter, Roux, in December 2021. The two then tied the knot six months after the birth of their cute daughter, Roux.

Some followers on Twitter suspected that she may be pregnant. And one of them tweeted:

“Is she pregnant?”

Some doubted that she may retire and were happy with the likely news dubbing her a flop. Therefore, one tweeted:

“I hope she retires. A flop.”

And on Monday 11 May 2020, Becky was on the WWE Raw episode when she made the major announcement. She stated that she is pregnant.

That will cause her to be away from the ring for a long time. Becky has held her title of champion for 399 days. Her reign is the second-longest of holding the title after Trish Stratus who kept it for 448 days.

On the show, Becky also revealed that the briefcase that was hoisted above the ring during the women’s Money in the Bank match held on Sunday and telecast as pay-per-view was not for a shot at the title. But rather it was for the strap itself.

She told Asuka:

“You go be a warrior, because I’m going to be a mother.”

She is the first female wrestler to relinquish her title due to pregnancy.

Becky Lynch and her relationship

Becky is engaged to WWE superstar Seth Rollins. And it is his baby that she is carrying. She revealed to People magazine that the couple knew that Becky is pregnant with their baby in April 2020.

Becky, 35 said:

“I’ve always, always wanted kids,”
“I’m just so career-focused that it became one of those things that, when you’re chasing a dream for so long, I always wondered, ‘Am I going to get around to it? Is it going to happen for me?’ “

They have been dating for a couple of years and went public with their relationship in May 2019 by putting a black and white photo of the two kissing each other. And 3 months later in August, Seth proposed to her.

The couple was to wed in May this year but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the date has been pushed forward.

Becky and her career

The wrestler is an extremely talented one and won both the Raw and SmackDown women’s titles at WrestleMania 35. She defeated both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.

She lost her Smackdown title a few months later. But she continued to be the Raw champion until this pregnancy announcement.

She has been away from television shows for many months now. Additionally, she did not wrestle at the pay-per-view match.

WWE has been promoting the upcoming confrontation between Becky and women’s Money in the Bank ladder match winner Asuka. But now came this big announcement.

Lately, she has also made it clear that she is not injured.
