Yolanda Hadid: Starting her own show “Model Moms”; Helping the aspiring Teen Models to achieve Dreams/Career!! Also about her guidance on her children Gigi and Bella Hadid!!!
Yolanda Hadid is a Dutch-American television personality and former model. Currently, She is on headline for starting her show which helps aspiring models.
The 53-year-old former model and reality star will lead a new Lifetime unscripted series about teen models. It is tentatively titled, Model Moms.
Model Moms
The show Modem Moms will start airing later this year and will mainly focus on coaching aspiring teen models on how to thrive on and off the runway. She and the expert team will subject the girls and their “momagers” to a grueling eight-week training course that will focus on the physical, mental, and emotional fortitude required to make it in the cutthroat industry.
On Model Moms, Yolanda’s modeling expertise will be useful as she coaches aspiring teen models to succeed on and off the catwalk.
Each week, the girls will be seen competing for a $5,000 prize to put toward their careers. One model will ultimately earn a management contract with Hadid’s company and get a chance to be represented by IMG Models.
The show was announced by Lifetime on March 21
“We are proud to launch such a robust offering of innovative programming with this award-winning group of talent. As we look to tell the stories that otherwise wouldn’t be told, through the vision and words of true-life experiences and female storytellers, Lifetime imagines all that’s possible for women, both on screen and beyond.“
Yolanda about her children
Hadid, 53, certainly knows what it takes to make it a model. She is a former model herself, and her children Gigi, Bella, and Anwar Hadid are all in the same industry.
Yolanda, who filed for divorce from David Foster in January 2016 after more than four years of marriage, had announced in June 2016 that she would not be continuing with RHOBH after its sixth season.
Hadid is aware of the ‘ins’ of this business — as a Ford model, she spent 15 years in Paris, Milan, and New York — and as the mother of Gigi, 21, and Bella, 20, she has toiled hard to shape their images while also keeping them grounded.
“That they were not allowed to work until they were 17 `until they knew who they are,”
Hadid told talked to Allure about how she had set limits for her ambitious children.
“I was 16 when I got started, but I needed to work. It is a different situation for them. I took each of them on their 17th birthday and found them an agency that was right for them. It ended up being the same agent for both — IGM. And I told them to work hard.”
Yolanda about the Daughter Gigi
The mom of three has already set a “five-year plan” for Gigi, despite her daughter’s sudden fame. She, in the meantime, has advised Bella to be patient.
“It was just being in the right place at the right time. And that’s what I always tell my girls. They might be looking for a blond all-American — well, Bella, that’s not the time for you. But if this is what they are looking for right now, you’ll hit it out of the park. And so she is.”
In February, Hadid had proudly announced that her 17-year-old son, Anwar, had also joined IMG as a model — #Summerjobscomingup,” she hashtagged the news on Instagram.
Hadid also plays a major part in her daughters’ daily lives. According to Page Six, Yolanda visited during Gigi’s 2012 Guess shoot, advising the director and overseeing Gigi’s poses. She had even instructed the photographer in between to pause when she felt that her daughter’s eyes looked “funny.”
In the year 2014, when Gigi had a photoshoot for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Hadid was so proud that she shared it in a controversial tweet that read,
“This is why @GigiHadid chose to have a small bite of her cake, and I supported her by example,”
alongside a photo of bikini-clad Gigi.
On Bella Arrest-Yolanda
When her daughter Bella, then 17, was arrested for a DUI, Hadid was equally candid and opened out her heart on her Bravo blog, writing,
“I raised her as a single mom most of her life, so I immediately started to take it personally, blaming myself and doubting my parenting skills. I decided to take her phone away, make her pay for her own lawyer bills from her savings, and we sold her car.”
Despite living in the age of instant social media fame, we have high hopes for Model Moms — especially if Bella and Gigi are judges. We hope the Show goes according to plan and has success in the Hadid family as it has been always.
