The marriage of Russian-born Australian tennis star, Arina Rodionova, 35 has ended. She has parted ways with her husband of nine years, Ty Vickery, as per her recent announcement.

It is end of the road for the married couple, Arina Rodionova, 35 and her former professional football player husband, Ty Vickery., 34. The two are going their separate ways legally.

After her Australian Open Campaign, Arina left the country. On the same day, she and her husband made the announcement of their divorce.

The couple put up a video on their instagram about their divorce. Arina said:

“We’re getting divorced,”

Further, she revealed:

“We’ve been separated for about a year. Friends and family know but we just wanted to let the wider community know about this situation. Thank you.”

After this, Ty said:

“We’re good. We’re good with each other and we wish each other the best. Thanks for the support.”

They tried to remain playful and jovial. At the end of the video, Arina offered her hand to Ty for a hand shake. Instead of shaking hands, he placed a half-eaten banana into her hand. And both laughed at this.

The post caption read:

“Life happens. We have lots of love for each other but sometimes it’s just not enough.”

Arina put up a follow-up post on her Instagram after this divorce announcement post. In it, she uploaded a picture of herself sitting in an airplane flying out of Sydney. Below, Arina wrote:

“Bye Australia, love you always,”
“Also you guys should be real grateful I went through the break-up without posting a million inspirational quotes on Insta.”
“You are welcome.”

Arina had also started a OnlyFans (an adult-only website) account on 12th January 2025. Announcing it, she wrote on her Instagram:

“Good news for everyone who was asking, “My OnlyFans account was confirmed so here we go. Let’s do this,”

Her bio on the site states that she is a tennis player but a fun one. A fan had inspired her to start this account. Vlogging about it, she had said last year:

“Stop with tennis, you’ll make more money with OnlyFans. It was the best compliment, which I’ve got this year,”

The relationship of the couple

Arina and Ty have maintained a very private life and did not talk about their courtship period. The two have never divulged details of how they met or given any interviews on their relationship.

But it was in January 2014 that Arina got her Australian citizenship. She resides in Melbourne with her elder sister Anastasia and parents.

And later, in December 2015, she exchanged wedding vows with the AFL player, Ty Vickery who is son of ex-Collingwood player, John Vickery.

Arina had played the qualifying match for the Australian Open on the morning of their wedding day. And in the afternoon was her wedding. She spoke to Sydney Morning Herald and said:

“Obviously the preparations for the wedding should start in the morning. Hair and make-up will be fine to skip, but the wedding, that will be tougher,”

Arina added:

“I don’t think brides should be very drunk at the wedding,”
“That’s not a good look, so I’m definitely not going to be having more than three. It should be good.”

The couple has no children together.
