Adriana Lima and her last fashion show

Adriana Lima made her 18^th and last runway walk at the annual holiday Victoria Secret’s Fashion Show. She appeared emotional and bowed her head in gratitude and crossed her hands over her heart.

The crowd cheered as she walked the ramp with her long white feathery angel wings gently blowing. She did break down while she thanked the cheering crowd.

There was also a tribute video played in which she was declared the ‘greatest angel of all time and in the background Praise You was playing. ABC will air the show on 2 December and can be viewed by viewers from 190 countries worldwide.

Adriana Lima talks to reporters

While in the makeup station, Adriana, 41 spoke to journalists. The blue-eyed beauty said:

“I thought over the years I would get more relaxed,”

Adriana admitted:

“No, I still get nervous, just like at my first Victoria’s Secret show.”

She also told them that this would be the best part of her 20 years of career on the ramp. She told the reporters:

“I think this year is going to be the highlight of my career. This has been my 18th fashion show and I am still as excited as I was from the first day. I always love to be on runways and being part of the Victoria’s Secret show. It is my favorite to do.”

Adriana celebrates the day with her daughters

Adriana celebrated her day of retirement with her daughters. She has a fancy Brazilian dinner in New York at the Berimbau do Brasil on the evening of this Thursday.

Her daughters Valentina, 12, and Sienna, 10 were there to support her on the occasion. Adriana posted a picture of herself with her daughters looking over a large cake with candle sparklers on her Instagram stories.

She captioned it thus:

“Celebrating with my family… thank you @berimbau.nyc for bringing some Brazilian taste to such a special night,”

She had one day earlier posted on her Instagram news about her retirement. She did not state the reason for it. She uploaded a video and thanked Victoria thus:

“Dear Victoria, Thank you for showing me the world, sharing your secrets, and most importantly not just giving me wings but teaching me to fly. And all the ❤️ to the best fans in the ????! Love, Adriana ????”

The next project of Adriana Lima

Adriana has plans to work for women’s empowerment. She said:

“I’m looking forward to supporting women and being connected to different projects which support women around the world. That like my future from now on but I am still happy that I am part of Victoria’s Secret this year. You guys are going to love this year’s show. To me, it is definitely going to be very special.”

Last year her friend and fellow angel Alessandra Ambrosio declared her retirement during the Fashion show in Shanghai. She also worked for 20 years before she decided to retire.
