The COO of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg announced that she is engaged!
It was a day of mixed feelings for the COO of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg. She is now engaged to her boyfriend Tom Bernthal 5 years after the tragic death of her husband in 2015.

Sheryl uploaded a sweet black and white pic of her with Tom and captioned it:
“Engaged!!!! @tom_bernthal, you are my everything. I could not love you more.”
A Rep of Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg, 50 told PEOPLE that Sheryl Sandberg is an engaged person now. She is soon set to marry her boyfriend Tom Bernthal.
A source close to the couple told PEOPLE magazine that Tom proposed to his lady love on 1 February 2020 after a mountain hike and a picnic lunch at the Vermejo Park Ranch. The insider revealed:
“They took a hike together on their very first date, so they recreated the moment and got engaged at the end of a long hike this past weekend,”
Tom, 46 had asked Sheryl to marry him with an engagement ring that featured five tiny hidden diamonds underneath the setting to represent each of their five children.
The relationship of the couple
Tom and Sheryl began dating in the spring of the last year 2019. They were set up by the brother of her late husband, Rob Goldberg.
Sheryl’s husband was Dave and he died in the year 2015 due to heart-related complications while on a family vacation. Talking about the closeness of the couple and their families, an insider said:
“They just clicked right away and have been completely committed to each other since they met. The Sandberg/Goldberg and Bernthal families have become very close and are thrilled that both of them have found happiness. Both Tom and Sheryl share a strong commitment to all the same things, especially family and philanthropy.”
Rob revealed that the couple is great parents to their kids and instantly had a great and strong bond between them as they spoke about them. Sheryl has a son and a daughter with her late husband Dave while Tom has three children. For both of them, their kids remain their no. 1 priority. Rob added:
“They both see the world in the same way. Their kids are No. 1. They are blending their families and their lives and that’s a testament to how in love they are. They’re building a future going forward together.”
Sheryl’s former mother-in-law has told her that she would dance at her second wedding.
More about this lovely relationship
Sheryl and Tom are extremely close to each other. They went with all the five kids and their respective parents on a trip to the Middle East last summer. They paid a visit to Lesbos, Greece, and also spent time in Jerusalem. Additionally, they promised to donate $ 2.5 million to IsraAID for its programs around the world.
Tom and s a former NBC News producer and is now the founder and CEO of the strategic consulting agency Kelton Global based in Los Angeles.
Earlier Sheryl had dated Bobby Konica for three years.
