Demi Lovato is in a happy and healthy relationship.

While appearing on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up, the Cool for the Summer songstress opened up about their relationship with her boyfriend Jutes.

When the host said that the two looked like friends first and foremost, the singer said,

“We’re so happy,”
“We became friends first,”
“We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating and well, after we told each other how we felt.”

When asked who started the conversation first, the Don’t Care songstress said that it was a mutual thing.

“We were texting, and he said something, and I was like, I took it one way and he was like, ‘OK, if you take it one way, then I know you like me. If you don’t, then…’ You know that kind of thing? And so, I took it that way and he was like, ‘OK, got it.’ Yeah, I’m super happy, and he’s my best friend,”

She also added that both of them were fans of each other’s music.

The singer celebrated the Canadian singer’s birthday alongside a series of loved-up snaps and mirror selfies. In the post, she gushed about her love for the Danny Phantom singer where she said that he deserves the world.

She wrote of the singer whose real name is Jordan Lutes,

“My sweet angel — it’s officially your birthday!!!”
“I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate you because I couldn’t be more in love with your gorgeous, funny, sexy, talented self.”

She added,

Jutes shared the post to his Instagram Story where he wrote,

The Heart Attack singer and the Indie Rocker met while co-writing several tracks on the former’s recent album HOLY FVCK which includes Substance, Happy Ending, and City of Angels.

The two started dating last summer and their relationship became public in August.
